Scent-free policy

In keeping with the Conference’s theme, Honoring Our Complexities, we are asking ALL attendees to help make this conference more accessible by refraining from wearing scented products, including cologne, perfume, hairspray, and other scented personal care products.  If you would like suggestions on what kind of personal care products to pack, or if you would like more information on chemical sensitivities, click here.

ASL (American Sign Language)  

ASL will be provided at all plenary and entertainment events, and in workshops and other smaller events where requested. We simply ask that you tell us before March 1 if you need ASL interpretation, so we recruit ample interpreters.

General Accessibility

General: The Four Points Sheraton is fully accessible and is in full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The hotel’s hallways are amply wide, connecting all meeting spaces and sleeping rooms, so attendees can navigate with ease. Elevators are available, as are accessible bathrooms and guest rooms.

Overnight hotel rooms: This hotel is spread out and has a wide range of accessibility and other features. If you have mobility, chemical, or other accessibility concerns, the very skilled and sensitive hotel staff liaison assigned to our Conference, Diana Jay, would be happy to speak with you and help you reserve the best possible room for your needs. Airport Shuttle: The hotel offers free shuttle to and from the airport and has ample free parking for those driving in. If you plan to use the shuttle and are traveling with a wheelchair, please request an accessible van IN ADVANCE by notifying the hotel at 1-414-481-8000 .

Dietary

The hotel’s restaurants are able to cater to many forms of dietary requirements. If you are unable to find food that suits your needs within the hotel, there are several dozen restaurants within a mile of the hotel.
