FORGE (For Ourselves: Reworking Gender Expression) is a national education, advocacy and support umbrella organization supporting FTM+s (female-to-male transsexuals and transgenderists, and others who were assigned female at birth but who now have some level of masculine identification) and SOFFAs (Significant Others, Family, Friends and Allies).

FORGE sponsors several listserves. If you would like to be added to one or more of the lists, please fill out this brief survey (http://surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=527341364418) or drop us an email at info@forge-forward.org to let us know what lists you are interested in.

 

FORGE-local -- A low volume announcement-only list (3-8 messages per month) that announces Milwaukee-based FORGE social/social support meetings, or other events of interest to transgender people in the midwest.

FORGE-announcements -- A low volume (under 10 messages per month) anouncement-only list that lets subscribers know of new FORGE publications, resources, and significant events of interest to trans people and SOFFAs across the country.

SV-SUPPORT -- A peer-to-peer support list for LGBTQI survivors of sexual violence. The list is open to both direct survivors and secondary survivors (partners, family members, in addition to compassionate allies).

WRITING GROUP FOR TRAUMA SURVIVORS -- A writing group for direct and secondary survivors (and other allys) of sexual violence and other forms of trauma who use writing as a means of healing.

INTERACTION -- A list designed to help Wisconsin/Midwest transgender and SOFFA individuals stay connected. This list is a great place to bring questions and topics for duscission.

STRIKE -- A place for trans- and non-trans-partners-of- leatherfolk to congregate online. (STRIKE = Strong TransRadicals Into Kink Everywhere)

CONFERENCE -- FORGE is hosting the first ever Midwest FTM/SOFFA conference in Spring of 2007. Join this list to stay current on updates and events associated with the conference (including newly added conference events, fundraising, volunteering, proposing workshops, and learning more details about the conference).

TAN -- TAN (Transgender Aging Network) networks professionals and providers who work with transgender and SOFFA elders.

ElderTG -- A high volume social and support list for transgender elders over 50 and their SOFFAs.
