Resources
We know that surviving, recovering, and healing from sexual
violence can be extremely challenging. People often need many
forms of support, which can include
the space to share their experience;
the place that feels comfortable enough to
share their feelings;
the loving kindness of partner(s) and family
members;
the support of their friends and peers;
access to books and other printed resources;
a therapist who is aware of sexual trauma and
healing;
alternative therapists such as bodyworkers,
energy workers and healers;
understanding clergy, religious or spiritual
advisors;
information shared via the world wide web;
connection through online support and networking
lists;
and often many other things from the small
kindnesses of strangers to conferences to ______;
and much more.. .. ..
We also understand that healing takes.. .. ..
- time
- patience
- persistence
- honesty
- compassion

- gentleness
