Hate Crimes

Hate crimes happen to many different kinds of people – some occur because of race, some because of disability, some because of sexual orientation, some because of gender identity or expression. Hate crimes are acts of violence motivated by systemic prejudice and stereotyping of a group of people. Different states have different laws against various types of hate crimes.
