Transgender Resources

We know that surviving, recovering, and healing from sexual violence can be extremely challenging. People often need many forms of support, which can include

  • the space to share their experience;
  • the place that feels comfortable enough to share their feelings;
  • the loving kindness of partner(s) and family members;
  • the support of their friends and peers;
  • access to books and other printed resources;
  • a therapist who is aware of sexual trauma and healing;
  • alternative therapists such as bodyworkers, energy workers and healers;
  • understanding clergy, religious or spiritual advisors;
  • information shared via the world wide web;
  • connection through online support and networking lists;
  • and often many other things from the small kindnesses of strangers to conferences to ______;
  • and much more.. .. ..

We also understand that healing takes.. .. ..

  • time
  • patience
  • persistence
  • honesty
  • compassion
  • energy
  • gentleness
  • breaks
  • love
  • determination
  • understanding
  • other people
  • hard work
